Green LED

Information about our thermostats

Green LED

Postby mike_b » Sat Mar 24, 2012 12:28 pm

I've had my thermostat installed for a few weeks and the thermostat and WiFi connection are working fine. However, sometimes when I walk by the thermostat I notice that the green LED is blinking. A few hours later it is no longer blinking. It seems to start and stop blinking on its own at random times. I think it is designed to only blink after successful provisioning. Why does the green LED randomly blink?

Mine did that until I moved the router closer to the thermostat.

Thanks for the info blaine. The thermostat is only 10 feet from the router, I hope that is close enough. Everything works fine. I was just curious why the LED will sometimes blink.

i observe that on all my stats from time to time. It might be linked to the DHCP lease expiring and being renewed. Haven't noticed any performance issues with that.
