Alternative free android app for 3M-50

I have written a free Android App that talks directly to the 3M-50 thermostat. I was motivated by (a) I do not want my thermostat status stored by the website at radiothermostat.com regardless of how good their security might be, (b) I want to edit the thermostat time/temperature schedule from my phone and (c) I don't want to live with the inherent race condition between updating controls on their website and on the thermostat front panel.

you can include the "disconnect from cloud" function by blanking the authkey. In my implementation I store the authkeys on my own server, so if I want to grab firmware updates I can briefly re-enable the cloud, get the updates, and then disable the cloud again - all from my little app.

Regarding point (c), the "official" android app sends commands directly to the thermostat when you're on the same Wi-Fi network, so I don't think it has the race condition that you described.

Now how do I connect it to my thermostat? How do I find the URL I need?

Does this allow you to turn off all scheduling? Literally all I wanted from this thermostat was the ability to turn it on and off remotely, and adjust the temperature, nothing automated.
