Well, I hit the reset button on the offline tstat -- it went straight to blinking green and was again identifiable on the android app.

Following the advice of someone in this forum, I went to the tstat's IP address via explorer, went to advanced and manually added the SSID and pword and saved this.

For 12 hours now it's been online, so we'll see.

The upstairs tstat running .77 firmware continues to be stable now since upgrading the firmware, however this tstat is connecting via a wi-fi extender.

Same here. I've had these thermostats for over a year and I'm just got used to the fact that whenever I need to access them from my iphone or web, they're offline.

I am on the 1.04.64 and have tried static IP addresses and Dynamic IP addresses. Reset button will bring them back for a day or two.

mking- If your router-to-thermostat distance is more than 20 feet, your thermostat will have a weak signal, and updates will be slower. If you still are not getting the firmware update after moving your router closer to your thermostat or purchasing a router extender, call the friendly folk at customer support. They can see what your thermostat's firmware target is and offer suggestions based on your situation.

I'm at the point where I'm going to return them both to Home Depot, and try brand new ones --

if this does not help my situation, I'll try another brand -- however, the next brand I can purchase from SmartHome.com is over $300 per unit and there's a yearly online subscription--

However, if it's reliable, that money will buy peace of mind!
